Enjoying Big and Small

We haven't done one of these in awhile. I love going back through my pictures and finding gems that I forgot about. It's one of the best ways to relive those little moments over and over again. If you think about it, you can really find so many small things to enjoy every single day. Sometimes I don't write them on here because I didn't take a picture of them, but I know that really is just a silly excuse not to step back and enjoy them. These are some small things I can remember in the past few days that I don't have any "proof" of:

-dressing room shenanigans
-morning snuggles
-little boys running around the room in capes
-coming home to a clean house
-watching "our" shows
-chip dip
-late night pizza delivery
-hot tubs
-fountain pop
-brand new marker board markers
-sleeping in my own bed
-clean sheets
-new running shoes
-a new favorite song on repeat
-food in the lounge

I could come up with a billion more. Life is so much more exciting and vibrant when you are aware of the little things. So without further ado, here are the big and small things I'm enjoying:

DQ is BACK!!!

Sharing my favorite movies as a kid with my littles

Dream shopping for houses in magazines

Littles looking at the back of cereal boxes at breakfast

Finding selfies of my kids on my phone

Barefeet weather

The return of God's paintings

Bedtime selfies

Anybody remember HUGS? This is like a memory in a 4 ounce plastic barrel. My mom used to buy these for camping trips all the time. I didn't even know they made them anymore.

Thoughtful gifts from friends

Being active with my kids

Prom pictures
Hanging out with family
I sure am going to miss this boy when he goes off to college

Dressing up for Garden tea parties

My girl's friends

My girlfriends and Traditions and Weekends away
Getting cozy before bed

Trying on fedoras...like a boss.

celebrating birthdays and master's degrees

I'm not always able to clearly see the good in every day. Sometimes my day is shot and I often think there is nothing to be happy about. I LOVE the book 14,000 Things to be Happy About. I love to read it just because it really does make me happy but especially when I'm in a funk. I have a feeling I'll be pulling it out tomorrow when the forecast calls for SNOW. Come on Spring! It's almost May. Ugh.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. I just introduced my niece to Dennis the Menace on Sunday - she thought it was so funny! It is important to find joy in the big AND small things in life. I will have to wait a few years to introduce Ella to OUR show Will & Grace. xoxo

    1. Until then, can we have a Will and Grace date with mac and cheese sometime soon? :)
